Born from the adventurous spirit of a Swiss couple, Samuel Baltensperger and his wife, Samir Estate has, over the last 44 years, become a testament to resilience, love for the land, and dedication to quality coffee. Named after their son, Samuel Junior, the estate flourished under his management after a tragic accident took Samuel Senior's life.
Samir Estate is a single-estate coffee farm nestled in the vibrant lands of Mahoma, San Jose de Ocoa, Dominican Republic. This region offers ideal conditions for coffee cultivation, allowing the estate to grow the finest coffee varieties, including Catura, Catuai, Obata, and Catimor. Each bean is harvested and processed with care, showcasing the unique characteristics of each variety through meticulous washed and natural methods, resulting in a cup of coffee as rich in flavor as it is in history.
