With all the green beer we drank in celebration of the Isle of Eire, we need a wee coffee (or 3) to get a wee jump start! With Spring pushing Winter meekly aside, we are thinking green and a fresh start and to that end we have a new Coffee Of The Month:
COLOMBIA DON ALFONSO’S PASSION RFA SANTANDER GRAINPRO
With notes of chocolate, nut, berries and caramel this is star power coffee and Don Alfonso and Maria Rangel from Finca Los Mandarinos are the star growers we have known since 2011. They have been finalists in the Cup Of Excellence and prove to be dedicated farmers participating in local, provincial, and national competitions year after year. When Nancy visited their farm, she was treated like Coffee Royalty (like the Queen Bean that I am!) and remembers them very fondly. Medium roast as usual!
