Our second Reserve Collection release is here.

This release features 100% Kona Prime from Cancino Estate, grown on the volcanic slopes of Hawaii’s Big Island. Kona coffee is one of the most recognized and sought-after coffees in the world, known for its smooth body, elegant sweetness, and beautifully balanced cup.

This coffee is handpicked and carefully sorted, meaning the beans are selected for size and quality. The result is a clean, refined cup with notes of sweet nuttiness, macadamia-like richness, soft floral character, bold cocoa, low-to-medium acidity, and a creamy finish.

Many coffees sold as “Kona blend” contain only a small percentage of Kona coffee. This release is 100% Kona, which means the cup reflects the origin fully, not just a hint of it.

Roasted to order in Calgary on June 16, this Reserve release will arrive right on time before Father’s Day.

Why This Coffee Is Special

Kona coffee can only be called Kona when it is grown in the North and South Kona districts of Hawaii Island. The official Kona Coffee Belt is a very narrow growing region, about 30 miles long and 2 miles wide, on the slopes of Hualalai and Mauna Loa. Its volcanic soil, sunny mornings, cloud cover, and mild nights create a distinct terroir that makes Kona one of the world’s most famous coffee origins.

At Cancino Estate, coffee cherries are handpicked at peak ripeness, then carefully sorted and selected. The farm’s location near Mauna Loa gives the coffee access to mineral-rich volcanic soil, which contributes to the cup’s balance, sweetness, and smooth structure.

About Kona

Cancino Estate was built through dedication and hard work. Mr. Raynoldo Cancino first came to Kona from Mexico more than two decades ago to work as a coffee picker. Over time, he purchased a small plot of land on the slopes of Mauna Loa and began producing his own coffee.

He later invested in his own processing mill and began supporting other small producers in the area. Today, his family is involved in the coffee business, and Cancino Estate represents the kind of farm story we love to share: humble beginnings, deep craft, and a commitment to quality.
