Fazenda Castelhana is a 253 hectare estate that has produced coffee for more than 40 years. It is a Rain Forest Alliance certified coffee and the estate values preservation with significant areas on the farm dedicated to reforestation and preserving flora and fauna. The coffee is from a varietal called Topazio, developed in Brazil in the 1960s as a cross between Mondo Novo and Yellow Catuai. It excels at even maturation and well suited to Minais Gerais climate. The deep yellow of the ripe cherries is inspired by the yellow gemstone, hence its name. Expect a velvety body with a medium acidity.
