Day 6 Magical Cup of Coffee
COFFEE: Papua New Guinea Nebilyer Valley Peaberry
NOTES: Dark Chocolate, Star Fruit, Apple Cider
The coffee hails from family owned farms located around the Nebilyer Valley who deliver their cherries to the Kuta Mill for processing. Most farms are one to two hectares in size and have been delivering their cherries to the Kuta Mill for more than forty years. The mill operates between the Ulga and Kolga tribes zones and has become a place of common ground for producers with traditionally tribal differences and conflict. Farmers are incentivized to deliver quality cherries via a bonus payment ensuring the mill processes good quality cherries. Expect in the cup a creamy body, low acidity and a well-balanced, clean cup. The coffee has a nice sweetness with notes of tropical fruits and dark chocolate.
